The hearing on February 18 in the lawsuit challenging the appointment of Don VanMatre to the Sweetwater County Board of Commissioners was unexpectedly continued by Judge Keith Kautz. The hearing will continue at a later, unspecified date.
Friday’s hearing contained testimony by Former Commissioners Debby Delai-Boese and Randy Walker, Current Commissioner Gary Bailiff, County Clerk Dale Davis, Deputy County Clerk Vickie Eastin, and former Commission staff member Belinda Bridewell.
The hearing was brought to an abrupt halt during the questioning of former Commissioner Randy Walker.
